The Point S Tyre & Autocare Network has helped member, Jason Addison, towards his
target of raising £10,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital

Point S Tyre & Autocare has pledged support for member, Jason Addison, owner of Addison Tyre
Centre in Tipton, in his efforts to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The network donated £5,000 to Jason’s cause, giving him a boost towards his target of raising
£10,000 for his father’s memorial fund. His father, Roy, was a former British boxer, with whom Jason
worked at their family business, Addison Tyre Centre, from 1986 until Roy sadly passed away last
year.
Birmingham Children’s Hospital was Roy’s chosen charity ever since the team helped save the life of
his grandson, Scott, from a battle with leukaemia starting in 1999.
To support his fund-raising efforts and raise awareness, Jason will embark on two self-funded
challenges this summer, including a 1,000-mile cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’ Groats and a
400-mile trek to the summit of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Great Britain.
Commenting on Jason’s admirable efforts, Wayne Daniel, UK Network Operations Manager, said,
“The Point S Tyre & Autocare network has always been about support. We want our members to
feel like they are really part of something – a global family that looks out for its own.
“When we heard what Jason was doing to raise money for such a worthy cause, we simply had to
show our support. My daughter, Emily, is a nurse in the intensive care unit at Birmingham Children’s
Hospital, so this cause is particularly close to my heart. I’d like to wish Jason the very best of luck for
his endurance challenges this summer. The whole Point S network is behind you!”
